We are excited to announce our new name is the American Board of Clinical Social Work (ABCSW). The Board of Directors felt this name and logo best reflects our mission, purpose and the Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD) program.
The name focuses on what we believe is our core competency, the BCD program, and the core audience we serve, the clinical social workers. The style of the logo represents our commitment to knowledge, education and established date of the BCD (established in 1987).
Another purpose of the name change was to unify all of our previous services into one, which should help alleviate any confusion. The Center for Clinical Social Work (CCSW), the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work (ABECSW), the American Clinical Social Work Association (ACSWA) and EPICC no longer exist, but the services they provided are combined into ABCSW.
Later this summer, we will also have one united website where all functions will transpire! You will receive additional communications regarding the new website in the coming months, so in the meantime please use the current websites for information and transactions.
